At Gracious Steps School, we believe that every child deserves more than a place in a classroom. For children and families facing financial difficulties, however, accessing and maintaining that opportunity can be challenging.
Since our establishment, we have remained committed to serving children and families within our community. Today, Gracious Steps supports hundreds of learners from different backgrounds, including children from low-income households, single-parent families, and other vulnerable circumstances. Their educational journey depends not only on the dedication of our school community but also on people who are willing to stand with them.
There are many ways to support the work of Gracious Steps. You can help a learner continue their education, contribute to the school feeding programme, provide support to a family facing financial hardship, or strengthen the teachers and staff who dedicate themselves to our children every day.

Support a Student
For some families, the cost of education can become a significant challenge. School fees, learning materials, meals, and other educational needs can place considerable pressure on parents and guardians who are already working hard to provide for their families. When these challenges become overwhelming, a child’s education can be affected.
Through Support a Student, you can help reduce some of these financial barriers and give a learner a better opportunity to remain in school and participate fully in their education. Your contribution can help towards school fees, learning materials, meals, and other education-related needs.

Feed a Child
A child needs more than books and a classroom to learn effectively. They also need to be nourished and cared for. At Gracious Steps School, we provide breakfast and lunch to our pupils and staff, helping ensure that learners have access to meals during the school day.
For some children, the meals provided at school can be an important part of their daily nutrition. When a learner comes to school without having had enough to eat, hunger can make it difficult to concentrate, participate in lessons, and make the most of their time in the classroom.
Your support for the Feeding Programme helps Gracious Steps continue providing meals to our learners. Every contribution can help us sustain this programme and reach more children with the nourishment they need during the school day.
Supporting the feeding programme is therefore about more than providing food. It is about helping create an environment where children can sit in class with greater comfort, focus on their lessons, participate in activities, and enjoy their school experience.

Through Support a Family, your contribution can help towards education-related needs and other essential support where it is needed. This may include assistance connected to school fees, meals, learning materials, and other needs affecting a child’s ability to remain engaged in education.

By reducing some of the pressure facing a family, we can help parents and guardians continue supporting their children’s education while giving learners a greater sense of stability.

Support Our Staff
Every day at Gracious Steps, dedicated people work behind the scenes and in the classroom to make education possible. Our teachers teach and guide learners, our cooks help provide meals, and our support staff help keep the school functioning and provide a suitable environment for children.
Gracious Steps currently has 20 dedicated teachers and 4 subordinate staff members, including a cleaner, two cooks, and a watchman. Each person plays an important role in supporting the daily life of the school.
However, maintaining a committed and effective team also requires sustainable support. One of the school’s identified needs is sufficient wages for staff, alongside other resources that can help teachers and support staff carry out their responsibilities effectively.
Through Support Our Staff, your contribution can help towards staff wages, welfare, professional development, and essential resources. Supporting our staff is an investment in the people who spend their days educating, caring for, guiding, and supporting our children.
When teachers and support staff are adequately supported, they are better positioned to continue giving their time, skills, and energy to the learners who depend on them.
